Moose Page Answers to Frequently Asked Questions

Do you have a question about the Moose Page? Just drop an e-mail to moose @ mickeymoose.org. (Remove the spam-bot-fooling spaces around the @ symbol.)

Q:

What's with this site, anyway?

A:

Good question. We haven't figured it out, either. There's just something compelling about the moose, one of nature's most petite and graceful creatures, that inspires awe and admiration in all of us. We're sure you'll agree.

Q:

Your site is really lame. All it does is sit there and stare at you with a bunch of words and static images and stuff. Why don't you have a cool Flash movie for an intro or something?

A:

There's nothing we like better than going to a Web site that makes us sit around and wait for enough of a Flash movie to load so we can click the "skip intro" button (if there is one) and get to the information we went to the site for in the first place. Wait—on second thought, we hate that, so we didn't do it.

Don't get us wrong; fancy stuff is fine as long as it's done well, serves a purpose, and isn't forced on people who don't want to wait around for it (believe it or not, a lot of people out there in cyberspace don't have broadband connections). Parts of this site will get fancier as time goes by; the Pac-Moose game is Flash-based, for instance.

Also, we're really lazy.

Q:

How long has the Moose Page been around?

A:

Longer than most of the World Wide Web. This site originally went up in 1995, when people were using a browser called Mosaic.

Q:

Are these really frequently asked questions, or do you make them all up yourself?

A:

People frequently ask that.
